August 2017

One of the reasons I was so attracted to the Masters in Pharmacology at Tulane was the emphasis on community service. Since I have moved to New Orleans and started this program, this sense of community and giving back is clearly prevalent throughout both Tulane University and all of New Orleans. I feel so lucky to be a part of this community. Unfortunately, I have not yet had to opportunity to begin my volunteering experience but I am excited to get involved in my new home.

In the mean time, I have been immersed in the world of Pharmacology. It is hard to believe we have already completed two blocks. Transitioning to the pace of this program and the vast amount of material we cover has certainly been a learning experience for me. This program has reinforced the importance of staying ahead of the game and I can already see how well this program is preparing us for the future, whatever direction that may be. However, the best part of the program for me so far has been the professors and faculty. The department and professors have offered so many resources, advice and support to help us succeed. It has only been two months and I feel lucky to be a part of this pharmacology family.
